When I bough the last 2 shirts the salesman started speaking German to me. Worked out beautifully, that was my first time buying something where I was able to actually talk with someone!!
We got lost at the market. Finally we just gave up and walked into a pharmacy, dialed Marina's number and asked her if she could have the folks there call us a taxi. That worked out fine. We made it back to the hotel.
Isaac is trying to put together a stroller we bought at the market. I am hearing lots of grunting and unhappy noises right now. Of course we have no tools so it is an interesting experience.
So...some things we have learned. It is in our opinion NOT cheaper to buy clothing and a stroller here in Ukraine. An umbrella stroller is no more that 20 dollars at home and the least expensive one we found here was $50. I suggest buying stuff at home and bringing it. The selection here for little boys is not all that great and although the market is much fun to browse, buying with zero language skills sucks. Also, they figure out in a heartbeat that you are a foreigner and prices triple in minutes. Sometimes you get lucky and get a great deal, other times the prices are crazy high suddenly.
Here are some pics around and about the orphanage.

This is the little car they use to take the kids to the doctor or the hospital in. Georgie sees any car and yells loudly:"BEEP BEEP!!"
