We leave in 4 days. I paid the bills in full and some of them ahead. Freezer is stocked with kid friendly and easy foods. There is a whiteboard with instructions for pets and kids in the livingroom. We have travel and medical evacuation insurance (yeah yeah I decided to take this advice from the US embassy seriously) My clothes are packed in a carry on. Isaac and Hannah's will be packed in the one big suitcase we are bringing. So will our outfits for G.
I feel for the guys at BGI who have to do without my man for 5 weeks or so. But fear not, we will be able to have some internet over there and Isaac will do what he can from where we are. That is when we are not washing our clothes in a bath tub, visiting a sweet little boy in his orphanage, trying to decipher street signs in Cyrillic or getting necessary documents.
Levi is having a rough time. He is 12 and is worried about us being gone for this long. Too much change for this kid with autism.
This weekend we clean the house from top to bottom and organize it for caregivers so they can find things easily. Saturday we need to get a rabies shot for Lilo the shepherd/husky mix. Monday we notarize the Power of Attorney.
And somewhere in an orphanage a little boy waits.
Hang in there little guy!!!!
